Lover Mini-Album and Journal - Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights March 2018

Thank you for visiting my blog today and coming to see my creation for Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights this month (March 2018). She asked us to write about the story behind our entry in the theme: Love.

My husband and I spend several months of the year apart because he is based in Europe and I am based in Canada. I created this little mini-album journal for him to take with him when he leaves on his next trip. He engaged in the creation of it, helping me to choose the photos and organise the pages, as well as taking some pictures.

The album itself is a simple construction using Basic Black and Whisper White Cardstock. For the journal pages I used the Petal Passion Memories and More Card Pack. The images we picked include some of our times together in Europe and in Canada. Mostly we take pictures of each other - so finding one that someone else had taken of us together was a challenge!
The words "friend" and "lover" are fussy-cut from Lovely Words die cuts.

The album is sized around the small cards from
the Card Pack (3x4"). The overall size of the album is 3 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 1/8" (though it's fatter when filled with photos!)

The album is held shut using strong, thin neodymium magnets.

My husband is my friend and my lover and he said he is really moved by this little album of love!
